CUSTOMIZING A SEMI-CUSTOM NEW BUILD

CUSTOMIZING A SEMI-CUSTOM NEW BUILD

Before too long, nestled in these pristine Utah Mountains will be a lovely home for a beautiful family! It will be a part of a semi-custom housing development. Though I predominately do custom projects, every so often I have clients who are building in developments but want the opportunity to fine-tune their plans, and customize where possible. Such is the case with the Mount Valley Project.

When the clients reached out to me to see if I would be interested in working with them, I was immediately drawn-in with their description of the traditional, yet modern European architecture, and the vision they have for the home. My enthusiasm got ramped up even more when I received their plans and concept photos.

THE TAKE AWAY

  • Even with semi-custom homes, typically there are lots of small spatial tweaks that can be made that will improve the function and feel of the home.
  • To get the most out of your space, hire a designer that is educated and skilled in interior architecture. They will bring tremendous value to your project.
  • Yes, we all know that interior designers are really good at choosing finish materials and adding detail, but don’t miss an opportunity to have their guidance and expertise in the beginnings of the design process. The sooner you involve them, the better!

Cheers!

Tami
